INFORMATION FOR AUTHORS

By Order No. 155 of the Chairperson of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated April 19, 2022, the scientific and technical journal Oil and Gas was included in the List of Publications Recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CQASHE MSHE RK) for the publication of the main results of scientific research in the following fields:

Geology, Drilling, Production, Field Development, and Petrochemistry.

Rules for the Submission, Review, and Publication of Scientific Articles

These Rules establish the procedure for the submission, review, and publication of scientific articles in the scientific and technical journal Oil and Gas.

Only articles that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by other publications are accepted for publication.

1. By submitting an article to the Editorial Office, the author confirms:

• the accuracy and reliability of the data presented;
• the absence of plagiarism and other forms of improper appropriation of intellectual material;
• the proper formatting of all quotations;
• the consent of all co-authors to the publication of the article.

2. Article Formatting Requirements

At the beginning of the article, before the title and author information, the UDC classification index and the ORCID identifiers of all authors must be provided.

The article must be prepared in accordance with the journal's requirements. All information other than the main body of the article must be provided in three languages: Russian, Kazakh, and English.

This information includes:

• article title;
• author's full name;
• position;
• institutional affiliation;
• abstract;
• keywords.

The reference list must be prepared in accordance with GOST 7.1-2003.

The main body of the article must strictly comply with the prescribed structure and be written in the original language of the article.

Additional Requirements

The article title must be concise (no more than 10 words) and reflect the main content of the research.

The abstract is not an introduction. It is a concise summary of the article presenting the results obtained and their practical application (up to 250 words).

Keywords are terms or phrases reflecting the main subject of the article (up to 10 keywords).

Illustrative materials — all figures, diagrams, and graphs must be submitted in their original quality as separate files.

Author photographs — must be provided in high-resolution JPG format (at least 1 MB).

4. Plagiarism and Similarity Check

The author is responsible for independently checking the manuscript for plagiarism and other forms of improper borrowing using specialized plagiarism detection systems, such as StrikePlagiarism.com.

The originality of the text must be at least 70%, excluding the reference list and correctly formatted quotations.

The author is responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the plagiarism check results.

The Editorial Office reserves the right to conduct an additional check of the submitted materials and may reject an article that does not meet the required originality standards.

5. Article Review Procedure

The article undergoes an initial editorial assessment and double-blind peer review.

6. Manuscript Requirements

The article must demonstrate scientific novelty and practical significance.

The text must be logically structured and include the research objective, research tasks, methodology, results, and conclusions.

The article must be written in an academic scientific style and contain no grammatical or spelling errors.

The use of automated machine translation of the text is not permitted.

The manuscript must not exceed 15 pages and must include a reference list containing at least 15 sources.

The Editorial Office reserves the right to request additional materials from the authors, including experimental data and other supporting materials.
